I had a spurt of blogging last week and rose up to number 20 on the UK boaters blogging list. I turn my back to do some automotive wheeling and dealing and get demoted to number 38.
Its a fair cop - it is after all a boaters list so if I'm not blogging or blogging with limited boaty content you will vote with your feet. I should say, with very little sincerity, like others have posted, do not really care that I am falling in the rankings, its about boating blogging and I do it for myself -I don't have a lot of friends ;-( anyway !! So there ;-))

Not bad at all for a few days work, and I fitted the new rad in the bathroom in between. Now a boat picture........
This is what started it all - a mid week break on a 40 footer called Nutcracker on the Llangollen canal. We were captivated by the whole experience and five years later we owned our own boat. More pics to follow

Yes, but what I don't quite understand is this: how do readers know what you're blogging about unless they click on your blog? OK, once there, they might regret having done so, but the click is still counted, isn't it? Whether blogging about boats or bathrooms, I think what probably helps in the ranking is regular frequent posting. And if it tends to be boring (like mine, unlike yours) people will tend not to look.

I recon it is the title that attracts people.....I agree about the frequesnt postings for the less po;pular blogs - like mine, the leaders, Sue (No problem)and Andrew's (Granny Buttons) in my opinion just have large followings.

Its still in the pipeline - just needs funding ! I am calling at Streethay to talk to Ray about it in the morning. The bike was my last gasp efort to keep biking. If this one does not get ridden then it'll go to fund the paint job.
