I feed off many other canal blogs so I am going to do my bit - it won't be much, and not all canal related, but in the true spirit of blogging.......

Trust you took in the delights of speedy's cafe en route? Assuming its still there that is because its a while since I have been.
Chris,
Not sure on the location. We went out via Grantham and back via Newark. It was a slow ride out but a good ride back.
Never really enjoy this run, I think it is the sun in your eyes on the run out and same back as it sets.
Did you see the update on the dongle, seems the one you tried was dead. Have you got it sorted yet?

Hi there,
I tried factory resetting / rebooting my router and double-checking all of the router settings afterwards, but this made no difference whatsoever, i.e. I could still not load Google maps via this router. Google maps loads on my computer via other routers/networks with no problems. I decided to have yet another rummage on the Internet and I found a fix. Nobody seems to know why this works, but if you re-address Google maps with 'https' instead of 'http' the maps load instantly!
That will do me for the time being - I have wasted far too much of my time trying to sort this one out already.
Cheers, Chris
